“By using the 3D simulation tools, we can simulate the scheduled move and layout adjustments in advance, which allows us to evaluate the impact of the goods distribution in the warehouse and how it will affect the overall productivity of the individual processes without financial impact. We test the warehouse layout and goods distribution ourselves by uploading Excel spreadsheets easily. Moreover, we can change the number of orders, types of goods as well as the shelf layout into different sizes. This particular simulation answers our questions of how a given process/layout change can and will impact overall picking and replenishment productivity, along with calculating the travelling between individual aisles.”
